Excite!

Why, in this maze of never ending connections, all the people surrounding you, chattering and loud, talking but not exactly making sense, laughing but the sound of it just resonates on and on, down and up again, traveling across this hedge of filling of bodies and life... does it feel so empty? Everything feels suffocating and the only way out is to make your way out of there. But where's the bravery? The courage? They don't seem to be here. But the temporary, momentary comfort lies somewhere far away, and you move towards it constantly.

Sometimes I just wish time will move faster.

Sorry about the above. Everyone has their downs, okay? I'm not even that sad as I portray myself up there, I tend to get carried away when I describe things. I just can't resist sometimes.

Anyway. Just wanted to talk about the things that make me excited.

1. The prospect of having lunch/dinner soon.
Seriously. When time crawls closer to 6 or 7 pm, the few phrases out of my mouth would be, "Eh mummy what are we having tonight?" "Can I cook pasta for myself?" "Can we go to Clementi Mall and have Swensen's?" The action of putting lovely cooked food into my mouth and swallowing it, savouring its every flavour and taste just makes me want to cry out in happiness.

2. Seeing cruise ships/planes.
I don't know why! It just makes me think of the places the people onboard are going and I feel so excited for them because they are starting a new life experience. Lol lol lol wtf. *crawls into a hole and hides*

3. Traveling
ANYWHERE! To get out of the country, even for awhile, excites me. New smells, new atmosphere, new views to see, new kinds of food to eat (no kidding omg!), new kinds of people to meet (nah, actually not really).

4. Buying AWESOME cheap things!
Other than making me excited, this will also cause me to be DELIRIOUS with happiness and joy will start erupting inside my heart. Sigh. The key word here is "cheap", though. The items being cheap just adds to the awesomeness. Like digging out lovely cheap clothes. And buying secondhand books! Speaking of which, I just bought some today! 3 for $10! And guess what's the biggest satisfaction? When I turn the books behind to see that the original price is like $15 or $23 hahahaha.

5. Seeing the words "mashed potatoes" or "baked potatoes" or anything with the word potato, generally.
Today as I was at a Japanese pasta restaurant, I was deliberating between pan fried salmon steak or salmon pasta with buttered sauce or whatever. The pan fried salmon came with "MASHED POTATOES" and I got excited. But being disciplined (ahem), I resisted and got the pasta instead, which was really good as well.

Writing about food at 1am starves me sigh.

Bye! Sleep time.
