But the scenery and weather redeemed all of it. Zhuhai really is gorgeous, from the buildings and rivers and murky brown water. A neat, organised part of China where most people speak Cantonese and sell you random food while you're eating at their restaurants.

Loved how productivity and modernity could flawlessly interlace with brilliant, breathtaking views and scenery and that Hong Kong heaven on earth for me.
St Paul's Cathedral is breathtaking. I snagged a few brochures on popular tourist spots and read up about Macau's Portuguese history, hence the many cathedrals and churches. St Paul's, or what's left of it - you can't miss, it is inspiring in a way how cultures mix.
I can't help but to think of Malacca, though.
Left Macau for Zhuhai, China two days later.
We stepped out of the customs into absolute chaos. Everyone was rushing, grabbing their backpacks and wheeling their luggages all seemingly desperate to get out of there. Everyone was reminding each other to look out for pickpockets in the fray.
Crossing roads suddenly became a huge deal because car drivers didn't seem to care about the traffic lights, which half of the time was stuck at amber anyway.
But at this point, I was desperate for
Hong Kong
Made my teeth yellow but it was so worth it.
I loved, LOVED the city and its many islands.
I loved how busy and crowded it was, and how instead of getting all annoyed (crowds frankly ain't my thing) I felt alive and vibrant in the sea of people babbling away in Cantonese. Man.
Madame Tussaud's to see my best friends
You can get the view of Hong Kong in its ENTIRETY. I love how the stretch of sea separates the bunch of buildings. Ahh.
I will go back, just watch me.
